INTRODUCING

Emotional Intelligence

A Grab-and-Go Family Workshop

Start practicing today with the help of engaging videos on the following 5 research-backed tools (with different video options for younger and older children):

1. Naming Your Emotions

The research-based tools your family will learn:

  • Reduced intensity of emotions
  • Enhanced self-regulation
  • Improved communication

2. Utilizing Your Breath

The breath is like a powerful switch between our body's stress response and calming response.  Learning to utilize your breath when feeling big emotions has been proven to:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Enhance focus and concentration
  • Improve sleep

3. Reframing Setbacks

Our thoughts play a major role in our feelings and behavior.  Research has shown that as kids learn to reframe setbacks in a more positive light they:

  • Develop more of a growth mindset
  • Have improved mental health and self-esteem
  • Gain increased motivation, effort, and academic performance

4. Asking the Question, "What do I need?"

Learning to regularly ask this question, is a valuable and research-supported way to help kids grow emotionally.  The benefits include:

  • Increased self-care and self-compassion
  • Better ability to establish healthy boundaries
  • A greater sense autonomy and control

5. Creating Lasting Habits of Emotional Regulation

Because every tool of emotional regulation becomes a skill when practiced regularly, learning how to successfully create habits is a vital part of growing emotionally.

In these videos your family will learn the Tiny Habits® method and use it to design a few desired habits of emotional regulation.  This method:

  • Was created by BJ Fogg, PhD, the world's leading behavioral scientist
  • Has been tested and proven by over 120,000 people
  • Leads to habits that require 30-seconds or less and are attached to existing routines

Hello,

We are Todd and Ashley Marchant

We're so glad you are here!  Our family has been on a journey of learning how to live happy, healthy lives for years.

As part of that learning, Todd has been mentored by some of the leading authorities in the wellness field.  In the midst of getting an MBA in North Carolina, he became an Optimize Coach, went on to become a Tiny Habits® coach, provides corporate wellness coaching for Thrive Global on the side, and now is certifying with Tal Ben Shahar from Harvard in the Happiness Studies Academy.

Ashley once taught language arts, until she found her passion of teaching the healing arts.  She is a trauma-informed certified yoga teacher with additional training in Kundalini Yoga, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, and Mindful Self-compassion®.  She finds great joy especially in teaching women and children these powerful holistic tools of healing and peace.  She is a believer that as we become more whole ourselves, we have more of a well to draw from to love and serve others.

Hello,

We are Todd and Ashley Marchant

We're so glad you are here!  Our family has been on a journey of learning how to live happy, healthy lives for years.

Where our greatest learning has taken place has been in the thick-of-it, raising our four kiddos.  We're daily given opportunities to "practice what we preach" in our family’s own journey of striving for emotional strength in response to stress, sadness, loss, anxiety, and overwhelm.

We are passionate about teaching our kids skills that benefit every part of their lives. If you're like us, you hope for your kids to leave your home capable and ready to live a life of meaningful contribution to the world.  That starts with having skills to navigate and respond with strength to the pressures of an ever-changing world.  This task often feels daunting, overwhelming, and illusive for parents.  We know!

We created Be Whole Do Good to make wellness practices  relatable and accessible to kids, in a way that is convenient and enjoyable for the whole family. Our goal is to support families to become the lights in the world they were created to be.  All content created is benefited by an amazing network of wellness experts.

We focus on teaching kids and parents wellness principles based on their Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Relational, and Emotional well-being.  Knowing that as we work on our whole-person self, all areas of personal and family life are positively impacted.

We're so grateful for the opportunity to take big, life-changing principles and make them bite-sized for your family to experience happy growth, one small step at a time.

Natalie K.

"My most biggest learning has been that I am not my thoughts and how to feel my feelings more. Because of that I have seen progress in my day-to-day happiness and do not sweat the small stuff as much. That has led me to be a calmer parent, and my children are learning these things along with me.”

Maxwell D.

“Be Whole Do Good has allowed me to slow down, love myself a bit more, and better connect with people around me. While I'm still not perfect, I have found a fresh courage in myself that has allowed me to push past my previous limits. I'm very grateful for how this has helped me take greater control of life through small and simple means.”

Hannah D.

"Be Whole Do Good has helped me intentionally find the time to focus on well-being and has given many helpful toolkits."
